J8 - JOINT EFFICIENCY

Each of the AI-controlled J1-J8 staffs has a Jointness rating which is a measure of how well each AI staff member functions with Joint Command staffs from other services. These are rated on a scale of 0 to 100 percent efficiency. In a couple of cases, the actual functions are slightly different from current practice in order to accommodate the nature of the simulation. The actual organization of joint staffs may change from theater to theater as well as due to doctrinal changes. Assigning staff officers to staff slots will increase the efficiency of those J-staffs.
